About the museum:
The Fine Arts Gallery in Bol, Brač island, bears the name of the great animal artist from Pučišće on Brač, Branislav Dešković. Alongside him, the gallery also shows works of other artists whose descent or works tie them to the island. Also represented then are I. Rendić, V. Michieli, I. Job, F. Šimunović, M. Stančić, V. Jordan, J. Plančić, L. Ivančić and numerous other major names in Croatian art. The permanent display is disposed over three stories of a Baroque palace. Sculptures are located in the courtyard and on the ground floor, pictures on the upper floors. During the summer season, the gallery will organise 6 to 7 original exhibitions and has recognition from the Association of Croatian Artists (HDLU).
