About the museum:
Donja Kupčina Local History Museum is located about 30 km to the south of Zagreb in the village of the same name and is one of the larger Croatian open air museums. It was founded in 1973 by the movement of buildings of folk architecture, an example of the typical residential and outbuildings of the villages of the Kupa valley, of Turopolje and the Croatian central Sava valley. The buildings are about two hundred years old. They exhibit the traditional inventory, including costumes, fabrics, tools for tradesmen and households, and indeed the equipment used for the moving of the wood buildings.
