About the museum:
The HT Museum - Croatian Post and Telecommunication Museum – was founded in 1953. The museum holds numerous objects from the history of postal services, telecommunications and philately. The permanent display of the museum and its exhibits set forth the beginnings and developments of that part of the industrial heritage in Croatia. The transmission of news from the period of the Roman Empire to the beginnings of the post office and the foundation of the Croatian and Slavonian Post Directorate in Zagreb. Philatelists will be able to see rare pre-philatelist letters, original drawings for the first Croatian stamps of 1918, and all the examples of contemporary stamps from the Republic of Croatia. Telecommunications are represented with several telephones, a valuable collection of telephone exchanges for inductor calling and sets. Occasional museum exhibitions are a chance for the museum to treat in some more detail given areas of communications in Croatia and at the same time to exhibit other valuable and interesting objects from its rich holdings.
