About the museum:
A permanent exhibition entitled, The Life and Work of Bishop Dr. Juraj Dobrila, was set up on the groundfloor of the birth home of bishop and reformer Dr. Juraj Dobrila (1812-1882), in Veli Ježenj near Pazin in 2004. The exhibition shows (with the original materials and copies displayed on boards) the Bishop's life, his contribution to the Croatian National Revival in Istria, and modern age testimonies that bore witness to this great man.
The aforementioned contents are shown through the following topics: Dr. Juraj Dobrila – from peasant's cabin to bishop's palace; Dr. Juraj Dobrila – leader of the Croatian National Revival in Istria; Dr. Juraj Dobrila in the Istrian Parliament, Imperial Council, and at the First Vatican Council; and Dr. Juraj Dobrila at the peak of the cultural history of time and space.
