About the museum:
The museum collection is housed in the building located at the entrance to the old town. It on the eastern slopes of Mt. Učka, and has a view of Kvarner Bay and the islands of Krk and Cres.
The collection is exhibited on two floors, and displays items related to the domestic life (fireplace, kitchen equipment and utensils), economy (agriculture and fishing), crafts, traditional folk costumes, and jewellery of Mošćenice.
A guided walking tour of Mošćenice’s old town includes visits to the Church of St. Andrew, Kosnica, and to the legendary olive oil press, which has become the symbol of the town. In the cellars of local residents and businesses, visitors can taste homemade brandy, wine, and figs from gardens in Mošćenice.
